I called on community leaders to join me on the Board of Directors and we set a goal; to raise $1,000,000 in 1997. We have long since achieved that goal, and our ongoing challenge is to continue to build a stronger ‘foundation for the Foundation.’ I pledge to continue to promote people helping people.”
