Jay's Hope Fund
The Jay's Hope Fund was established by Hank and Susan Ashby in memory of their son Jay. The Foundation is partnering with Flamingo Florist & Gifts to raise money to support people and their families affected by mental illness.
The month of October is significant because it is National Depression and Mental Health Screening Month. Also, National Mental Illness Awareness Week is October 2–8, and World Mental Health Day is October 10.
This beautiful bouquet will be designed and arranged by Flamingo Florist, voted Daytona's Best Florist, and the proceeds will be donated to the Jay’s Hope Fund. All contributions to this fund will be deposited into a perpetual account with none of the principal used and only revenue generated will be used to provide services for the clients and their needs. All donations will be matched dollar for dollar through Stewart-Marchman-Act Foundation’s Jay’s Hope Fund (up to $10,000).
Your contribution will support a journey of healing and transformation enabling a person with a mental illness to live a meaningful life in a community of his or her choice while striving to achieve his or her full potential. The opportunity for recovery is more likely in a society of acceptance. Our hope is that Jay’s Hope will assist in breaking down barriers and help to remove stigmas that are all-too-often associated with people living with mental illness.
